A game of brain teasers and puzzles seemingly simple and harmless but yet difficult;
web-pages riddled with hidden clues will take you to the next level.
Looks can be deceptive and truth can be simpler than perception.
If you have not used your grey cells for a while this is the perfect excuse to stimulate them.
The fastest to go through this maze of web pages will get the glory.
Come. Pylon of Isis is the game where we will test your common sense, with each level posing a challenge in going forward.

Game
The ultimate purpose of the game is to getting to the next level. Each level is just a webpage.
Event Timelines
Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 9:30 pm onwards.
Rules

1) The game is open only to 1st year students.

2) A team will consist of two members.

3) One person cannot be a part of more than one team.

4) A team has to register with a “team name” and an “e-mail id” before starting the quiz. Fill the registration form. The registration closes 30 min before the game starts (9 pm IST, 14th July 2011)

5) The game would start at 9:30 pm IST, 14th July.

6) Game would be open for 24 hrs from the time of launch.

7) On pressing the submit button at the end of the game your answers will come directly to us and get verified. You need NOT to send any separate answer to us.

8) In case of any emergency, the game administrator will communicate through the mail id furnished by the team at the time of registration.

How to play Pylon of Isis 2011?

1) Application runs on Internet Explorer 6 and higher versions.
2) You should have flash player 7.0 or above installed. It can be installed from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
3) There are 16 levels in the game. The player who will submit first on the 16th level will be the winner of the game.

5) You should go from one level to the next by either changing the URL (universal resource locator) of the game or submitting the answer in the text box or by pressing any object in the web-page.
6) The extension for the web-page of the next level can be .aspx, .html or .txt, any one of these three (only). So you need to figure it out by yourself as to which extension you need to use.
7) We are permitting the process of changing the URL. We are also capturing your answers in each of the levels of your game. So it is highly recommended that you go level by level.
8) Use search engines wherever you feel you need it.
9) Some levels require login and passwords or simply an answer field. These fields are to be found from the hints given in the web-page of that level.
10) For clues please visit our blog: http://labyrinth2010.blogspot.com/ . You can post comments according to the levels you are in. If you post your doubts/comments in a wrong level then we will remove it immediately. Please go through the important posts regarding the game in the blog.
11) First 2 teams will win ‘Pylon of Isis 2011’ – first and second prize.

How to play Lab-Rinth 2010?

Before giving you a brief of the game let me tell you the things required for the game.

1) You should have Internet Explorer 6 or above installed in your desktop or laptop.

2) You should have Flash Player 7 or above installed in your machine.

3) Before playing the original game you need to play the demo version of the game of two levels: http://labyrinthnm.freewebhostx.com/keyboard.html The answer to this you can find out here: http://labyrinth2010.blogspot.com/2010/02/answers-to-demo-game.html

4) Get familiar with our blog and each of the posts in it before the game starts.

Rules:
1)The quiz is open only to students pursuing postgraduate MBA program or equivalent.

2)A team can consist of maximum two members who should be from the same institute.

3)One person cannot be a part of more than one team.

4)There is no limit to the number of teams taking part from the same institute.

5)On pressing the submit button your answers will come directly to us and verified.

6)In case of any emergency during the game, communication will be done through the mail id furnished by the team during registration and through Lab-Rinth 2010 blog mentioned later in this document.

7) If you log off the middle of the game you will have to start the game from the beginning, again.

How to Play Lab-Rinth 2010?
1)There are 20 levels in the game. The winner to submit after the 20th level will be the winner of the game.

2)You should go from one level to the next by either changing the universal resource locator (URL) for the game or submitting the answer in the text box or by pressing any object in the web-page.

Answers to the demo game

To help you out with the two levels: The image represents Run, hence when equated with keyboard it means F5 button (used for Run command). So you need to press the F5 button on the keyboard to reach the next level of the game. Once you reach the page of the second level, a series comes up: 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89,144.... If this is searched on the search engine, you will find that it is a fibonacci number. Hence change the last portion of the URL or address in the address bar of the browser, from series.html to fibonacci.html. And you reach the level 3 of the game.

The original game will have 20 levels. The game will be a bit tougher than this and will depend only on the common sense and web searching capability through a search engine.

SummIT, the IT cell of NMIMS University, presents its annual online event – Lab-Rinth as a part of Euphoria ‘10.

About the game:

Lab-Rinth is a popular B-school game, in which the player has to cross 20 levels of puzzling web-pages to be the winner of the game. Please check a demo of the game consisting of only two levels in this link: http://labyrinthnm.freewebhostx.com/keyboard.html
